I prefer a guy who is good in bed to a broke guy- Jemima Osunde

Rising actress, Jemima Osunde has said she prefers a guy who can satisfy her in bed to a broke guy.
Osunde shared her opinion during a chat with Broadway T.V.
In her words:”I don’t plan to be broke myself, yea so good in bed, let him give me what I can’t give myself”.
The Shuga star also bared her thoughts about the controversial statement credited to Rita Dominic when she said all movies should not be at the cinemas.
“In my own opinion, I agree with her.Cinema movies should get us excited, there is an exclusivity with it, oh it’s in the cinema. I am not saying not all the movies in the cinemas shouldn’t be in the cinemas. If everything is at the cinema, what happens to our home videos, I love my home videos,” she said.
Speaking of being compared to Adesua Etomi, she noted that she is pleased with the comparison.
“I don’t see that as a bad thing, first of all, she’s my mama, every child wants to be like their mama I guess and if for anything, she is doing amazing, career-wise.
Osunde recently starred in a movie called ‘New Money’ starring Kate Henshaw, Kalu Ikeagwe, Dakore Akande, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Osas Ajibade, Falz and a host of others.

I wasn’t totally nude-Jojo Charry opens up on controversial photo-shoot

Liberia-born US-based Nollywood actress, Jojo Charry created a frenzy on social media recently when she shared pictures of her nude photo- shoot in celebration of her birthday.
The outspoken role interpreter who is unapologetic about her sex appeal has opened up on why she decided to tread that lane.
Speaking in a chat with The Sun, she said: ”To be honest, I have always thought of doing a nude photo shoot for a long time. When I was younger, I felt my body was too sexy and it scared me. I was ashamed of my body, it was too grown. Now that I’m older, I saw that it’s a trend; everybody craves to have a sexy body. Even people are paying, some going under the knife to have my kind of body, so why am I covering myself? I had to embrace myself. Like, this is who I am; the body is not going anywhere. It is going to be mine forever.
“So, the last time I came to Nigeria, I was like, let me do a nude photo shoot. I love my body just like I love myself. So, I wanted the world to see what I have got in me. However, it’s not like I was totally nude because I wasn’t showing anything. But Nigerians are taking the matter too seriously. I am not mad at them; I am just enjoying it all. I don’t care. People must talk, complain, regardless of what you do or didn’t do. That’s the kind of world we live in! I just do whatever makes me happy”.

Anambra Assembly mulls enactment of anti-open grazing law

Anambra Assembly mulls enactment of anti-open grazing law

The Anambra State House of Assembly is currently working on a law that would compel cattle herders to provide ranches for their herds.
The assembly on Thursday resolved to refer the bill on cattle ranching to House Committee on Agriculture for their input before final passage into law.
The House had debated on the law establishing the cattle ranches in the state.
Mr Charles Ezeani, who sponsored the Bill, said that if passed into law, it would put to an end to open grazing as currently witnessed in the state.
“The Bill seeks to regulate cattle rearing in Anambra with a view to arresting incessant massacre of innocent citizens by herdsmen.
“It will put to rest, open grazing by confining cattle and dog rearing to designated places as any cattle found operating in unapproved places shall be impounded.
“Also these herdsmen must show themselves by registering their ranches as well as pay taxes, in order to generate revenue to the state and ensure food security and retain our agricultural landmark,’’ Ezeani said.
The Majority Leader, Mr Victor Okoye added, ” The Bill, if passed into law, will give security agencies the legal backing to confiscate any animals found grazing outside designated areas.”
The Chief Whip, Mr Lawrence Ezeudu, Member Representing Dunukofia Constituency, Mr Obinna Emenaka, Representing Anambra East, and other members who made contributions noted that the Bill would stop herdsmen from encroaching on farmlands and also help to keep the environment clean.
Speaker of the house, Rt Hon Rita Maduagwu thanked those who made contributions, but referred the Bill to the House committee on agriculture.

Ekiti 2018: Buhari’s aide, Ojudu formally declares, says “I will beat Fayose”

Ekiti 2018: Buhari’s aide, Ojudu formally declares, says

 “I will beat Fayose”

Sen. Babafemi Ojudu says his choice as the All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the Ekiti governorship election will fast-track the defeat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
Ojudu, the Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Political Matters, said this on Friday at Ado-Ekiti at his declaration ceremony for the July 14 governorship poll.
“By the grace of God, my candidature will not only drive PDP away, we will ensure that we defeat the incumbent and his nominee,”, NAN quoted him as saying.
Ojudu said his decision to run for the gubernatorial race was not by accident but a result of wide consultations with respectable men and women, including opinion leaders in the state.
Ojudu, who described himself as having the penchant for winning elections, said he defeated current governor, Ayo Fayose to become a Senator and promised to repeat the same feat if given another chance.
He enjoined leaders of the party in the state to provide a level-playing ground for all the aspirants so as to enable the best candidate to emerge.
“I am going into the governorship race as a call to serve and not to acquire wealth. God has been so kind to me in all my ways and I think the best way to appreciate God is to serve my people with all my vigor.
“My mission is simple but critical to the growth and development of Ekiti, and that is to make Ekiti work for all as well as taking back its pride.
“It is my plan to take the jobless off the streets, re-focus the civil servants who are the engine room of government.
The Ado-Ekiti born politician promised to turn Ekiti State into one of the major producers of rice if he realized his ambition of ruling the state.
Ojudu promised to also use his wide influence to attract investors, aside from establishing cottage industries.
He said that with this jobless people both men and women including school leavers could be engaged.
He added that industrialization of Ekiti would be his priority to make the state less dependent on allocation from the Federation Account.
He promised to use his experience as a media manager to run an efficient government in which workers would be well taken care of.
According to him, a situation in which the current administration in the state owed workers arrears of salaries and allowances after receiving its due allocation from the Federation Account will not arise.
Ojudu advised the leadership of the party to conduct a credible primary election among the party’s aspirants in line with the famed integrity of President Buhari.

Why Dino Melaye is against me – Governor Yahaya Bello

Why Dino Melaye is against me – Governor Yahaya Bello

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has blamed the lingering rift between him and Senator Dino Melaye on his refusal to waste the available scarce resources of the state.
He made this known in a phone interview on Channel TV’s Politics Today anchored by Seun Okinbaloye
According to Bello, “We are aware of a particular senator who wants elephants to be shared in Kogi State and I refused.
“The people of the state must have value for the lean resources that we are generating, and we are receiving; if that is his problem, so be it,” he said when asked to react to his disagreement with Senator Melaye..
The Governor also denied any involvement in the attack on the senator representing Kogi Central, Mr. Ahmed Ogembe.
He said: “First of all, on that day Senator Ogembe was attacked, I was in Kano. I had just received a message from a senator coming home to do empowerment; the next thing was the crisis that ensued.”
Amid the political crisis in the state, the governor said the police have begun investigations into the incident while a lot of arrests have been made.
We recall that some senators had accused the governor during plenary of introducing policies that could degenerate into a political issue if not properly handled.
He, however, took a swipe at the lawmakers for failing to address national issues such as passing the 2018 Appropriation Bill presented by President Muhammadu Buhari to the National Assembly in November 2017, among several others.

Italian police mistook us for minors – Aki, Paw-Paw

Popular Nollywood actors, born Chinedu Ikedieze and Osita Iheme but better known as Aki and Pawpaw, have revealed their most embarrassing moment.
According to the duo who recently chatted with newsmen, they were embarrassed by some Italian policemen who mistook them for minors.
In what the actors with a great sense of humor tagged ‘a mix of comedy and embarrassment’, they said, “apart from mistaking us for minors, the Italian police had threatened to arrest our promoter for not using baby carrier for us in the car.
The movie stars recalled that they had arrived Italy in company of comedian Julius Agwu for a show, and they were picked up from the airport by their promoter, who was driving them to the hotel they were to lodge when the policemen stopped them at a checkpoint.
The well-known pint-sized actors said they had to alight from the car, show their Nigerian passports to the policemen before they ever believed that they are adults with the physical frame of a child.
According to Chinedu (Aki), “I still remember that day and the feeling vividly.
“It was funny,” he quipped, adding that “since then, Julius Agwu has been using the incident as joke in some events.
“But people don’t know that it’s a true life story,” he added comically.

Nigerians full of hate speech, Jealousy an epidemic –

Adenuga

Billionaire son, Paddy Adenuga who was recently trolled online following the release of his near acquisition of a Chevron facility in Netherland has attacked Nigerians again.
This time around, Adenuga has condemned the increasing rate of hate speech by Nigerians on the internet.
According to Paddy Adenuga, Nigerians spend so much energy on hate speeches and being envious of someone else’s success.
He further advised Nigerians to channel energy spent on hateful speeches to making their life better.
Adenuga on his Twitter page wrote: My advice for you today.. live for yourself first.. except if you have children then live for them but if you don’t.. live for yourself first and not for anybody else.. we are all here on earth on borrowed time.. when your time is gone.. thats it. live your life, my people
“Bad belle (jealousy) is such an epidemic in #Nigeria so much energy spent being hateful and envious of someone else’s success or pedigree when that same energy could be applied to making one’s life better or doing positive things.. #GOD help us
“The laws of the universe are simple. you put out negative energy, it always comes back I personally have never met a prosperous hater but I guess for some people there is a warped pleasure in spiteful envy nothing good can come from a heart of hatred and jealousy .”

My critics have been away from Delta — Okowa

My critics have been away from Delta — Okowa

Gov. Okowa

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State is unarguably one of the country’s more sturdy political office holders having learnt the ropes as a local government secretary, local government chairman, commissioner, state government scribe, senator and now governor.

It is against the background of his wealth of experience that much hope is on him to successfully navigate the governance of Delta State towards impactful service delivery.
Okowa, a product of Edo College, Benin; University of Ibadan Medical School, in this interview responds to a variety of issues affecting the country even as he takes on his local political traducers frontally with his narrative of his strides and successes in governance. Excerpts:

What do you think is the solution to the problem resulting from herdsmen attacks?

I think that the security agencies must stand up to this very wrong approach to the issues of cattle rearing with guns; I don’t think that that was what used to happen in the past. In the past we used to see herdsmen, they come in, they relate to the people in the various villages, (but) that is not the position at the moment. When you just stroll into people’s farms, stroll into people’s lands and continue to do all manner of things, it is not right. I believe that there has to be a strong statement coming out from the presidency and such strong statements will possibly spur the security agencies to take appropriate actions.

First, every herdsman must be disarmed; no Nigerian is empowered to carry such rifles except security agents. And I think that the Federal Government itself must come up with a strong policy and that policy will be on the issue of trying to encourage cattle ranching in one manner or the other.

I believe there is enough land within the various northern parts of the country and the suggestion by the Minister of Agriculture at the onset of this administration where he intended to import the fast-growing grass that could be used. Yes, that could cost some money, but there is nothing that is done at this moment in terms of spending money to avert all forms of crisis and all manner of unspeakable deaths that will be too expensive for us.
Will Delta State concede land for the colonies?
In the first instance you know that Delta State is possibly half of water, half of land. So, obviously we are in dire need of land. We don’t have land for that purpose, that is the truth. It is a growing state, and because of the very coastal areas and the exploitation of oil, most of our lands are destroyed, and we don’t have enough arable land, and the pressure is now coming because we are encouraging our people to go to the farm.

So, we need quite some lands; we do not even have enough of it because, beyond the waters, most of the creeks and even a lot of land we have within the upland area are also encumbered because of the oil exploitation and oil spillages that have taken place in the last several years. So, we won’t have land at all in Delta State, obviously not for cattle colonies.

The opposition in the state has alleged that the recent local government elections were marred by irregularities?

When you talk about the opposition, I think it is only one party that made that complain because the other parties that participated didn’t speak in the same manner. I believe too that if you try to follow up several weeks to the elections, I was out there on campaign. I went to the entire 25 local government areas campaigning, and after that, after giving our candidates flags, they went to every ward and every unit campaigning; we took it very seriously.

Throughout the time through to the elections, I did not see any other political party truly campaigning. Those that complained we never saw them campaigning anywhere!

So, I do not know how people want to win elections. If you do not campaign, you do not go to the people; you do not go there to ask for their votes, I don’t know how you are going to get their votes. I think that that was exactly what they did and the statement that they did make, I believe that it was like when you fail an exam, you find a reason to give.

I think that was exactly what happened because they did not actually come out to campaign and if some people gave them money for the elections, I don’t think they spent those monies campaigning, I don’t know what exactly they expected.

We were ready for the elections, unfortunately, the APC that complained, they were not ready for the elections. So what they tried to do was on the Election Day they came with violence in some local governments, and you are aware of the Ughelli office that was burnt down. We hope that Police is investigating it because we know those who burnt it down; the particular person that led them to burn that place down is known. He ran for the House of Reps in 2015; he led them to burn down the place.

But on our own, we are convinced that we did the right thing, and I don’t think we owe any apologies because we were ready for the elections but they were not ready for the elections.

The former governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomwhole was reported to have threatened that APC will take Delta State in 2019, what is your reaction?
I didn’t listen to him, but I read him in the papers if he said they would take it by hook or crook, I think that will be irresponsible. If it is by a normal process he believes they can take over Delta State through a democratic process; it will be very, very difficult. I think that will be a very tall assignment that he is giving himself.

Delta State is essentially PDP, and we are doing our best despite the economic difficulties and challenges that we find ourselves. We are doing a lot, and our people are happy with us, and I do believe that the APC in Delta State as at today is not strong, they are not united, they are busy fighting themselves. I think they are just hoping that the Federal Government will just come in and install somebody, so they are busy fighting among themselves and politically we are doing the best that we can.

And I don’t think Oshiomhole has any influence in Delta State. In his Edo State, he just managed to win an election while on his way out, and I think too that he was able to win that election probably because Godwin Obaseki was also a good candidate coming from the background that he came from. I have a warm relationship with Governor Obaseki, and I criticise him not, he is a responsible personality, and I want to give that to him.

What’s your assessment of the Buhari government so far and can you put that in percentage, so we are clear?

Well, the government both the APC and the PDP governments and the APGA government both at the federal and state levels came in at very challenging times. There is no doubt that with the very challenging times with the oil economy there are definitely some setbacks and many of the things that we did promise, we may not be able to fulfill them. But I will rather not want to directly score it because in scoring a government you need to look at a whole lot of things but what I think I will like to see a little more is the development of infrastructure.

But one thing I find they have not been able to do well is the issue of the management of the budget. Because in every process, you must manage the budget in such a manner that you will be able to utilize the dry season which you need for the development of infrastructure. But unfortunately, in the two years going to the third one now, the national budget is usually passed late in the year, and you have already crossed the dry season. So, if funds are not released appropriately because the budgets also have not been passed, you may not be able to achieve a lot.

I think in terms of infrastructure development there is still a lot that needs to be done.

Are you happy with the state of things in your party, the PDP and how prepared are you to take over in 2019?
Yes the PDP is getting stronger. We had challenges, but by God’s grace, we were able to conduct a none elective convention in August 2017 and in December we conducted an elective convention. Because we put the right processes in place, we were able to tackle the issues that came off it. We foretold that and we had the Siriake Dickson’s Reconciliation Committee headed by the governor of Bayelsa State.

We had a good enough convention by our assessment. Yes, there could always be one challenge or the other, it is normal. But I think the reconciliatory process went very fast, the last pockets of reconciliation are being sealed at the moment. The faction that was about breaking away is already talking with the Uche Secondus-led National Working Committee, and everything is being worked out properly. I think we have gone passed any real challenge as a party at the moment; it is for us to consolidate the processes of our party governance and prepare ourselves to take in a large chunk of people who may not feel happy with where they are. We are preparing ourselves for that. We are also preparing ourselves to begin to reach out to all Nigerians on the need for them to support the PDP because what we have is actually a reformed PDP with a renewed focus and I believe too that by the time we go on to our presidential primaries at the presidential convention, we are going to be very fair to all and with that fair contest that we are going to provide, whoever emerges will actually be an acceptable candidate, and we go out there to campaign to Nigerians. We have strengthened the party, and we believe we are on course to election victory.

So how will you appraise your performance in the last two and half years because the opposition in the state is alleging no work on ground?

You know when people speak from Abuja and Lagos and fail to come to Delta State, they can say all manner of things. Some people have not gotten home. Even recently, one of the governorship hopefuls on the other side, spoke and I read in the papers that Okowa has not done anything meaningful, he does not have any star project.

When he used the language star project; I don’t know want he means by star projects, you have to do things that the people need. It is not an illusion; it is not an ego thing that I must do things just to make some noise. Unfortunately for him, the same governorship aspirant that spoke from their party, in his local government in this very hard time, we are constructing five roads including the road to his village.

And two of them are fully completed, and the remaining three have gone very far. In one local government alone out of 25, we have five roads being constructed. So you see people just have to talk because if you don’t say anything, it will look like the party does not exist. I think that is exactly what they are doing.

But for us, we came in at a very difficult time no doubt about that. If you go into the allocation that comes to here, you will find out that Delta State was actually very exposed. We had to restructure. Thank God because the presidency did cooperate with us, we had to restructure our debts. And even with that restructuring, N2.3 to N2.5 billion is taken from us from Abuja every month.

Then we also have some exposures  through the banks that we also pay. So the initial months were very difficult through to February 2016. In February 2016 we went into a very difficult time when the Focados trunkline was blown; for 16 months, 55 percent of the oil exports from Delta State was shut in, that ran till June 2017. You can imagine the pain that it did cost us.

We met seven months of salaries and pensions, and we pay about N7.4 billion monthly. Apart from Lagos State with their huge resources, I doubt if there is any other state that has anything near that at all.

We are doing something already to bring down the amount of money that we pay without sacking workers. We are doing our biometric system, we have decided at the moment not to employ. But if you don’t employ because the government is already saturated, you have to create an avenue for the youths to be able to get themselves gainfully employed. So we started our wealth creation programme, and it is doing quite a lot. It is coming up in different aspects; we have skills and entrepreneurship programme where we are training selected youths and after that establish them fully. We have a mentoring and mentorship unit that continues to follow up.

Sex is holy – Angel Christopher

Sex is holy – Angel Christopher

Provocative and sensual Nollywood actress and scriptwriter, Angel Christopher, has a knack for proffering solutions to issues concerning marriage and sex on social media, even when most of her fans and followers don’t always agree with her.

Some have even chided her to desist from playing a specialist from an area she has no firsthand knowledge of since she’s single but all these have fallen on the deaf ears of the ass-flaunting diva.

In a recent post on her Instagram, Angel reeled out a long narrative on the importance of sex in marriage, affirming that it is wrong to ascribe negativity with sex, especially when it involves couples bound by nuptial oaths

“A lot of people don’t associate sex with God – they associate it with Satan and darkness as if sex is not holy,” she began and backed up her summation with the Holy Bible and some home-brewed wisdom.

“The Bible is explicit when it comes to sex. Sex is holy within marriage, and there is no prescribed style. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that the missionary position is the only sexual style. Not discussing sex in a marriage is a bad thing.

Women, wake up from your slumber, if he’s not doing the styles with you, he’s definitely doing it with someone else, gone are those days when they say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, now, the way to a man’s heart is how you respect and satisfy him in bed. Men love sex”, she added, with a raunchy picture of herself in bed, brimming with a mischievous smirk.

‘Black Panther’ again slays North American box office

‘Black Panther’ again slays North American box office

Disney’s “Black Panther” sunk its claws into the top spot once again this weekend at the North American box office, taking an estimated $108 million, industry estimates showed Sunday.

Black Panther

Following a record-shattering opening weekend — raking in $242.2 million — the frenzy to see the 18th entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe continued, bringing total earnings to an astronomical $400 million in just 10 days, according to tracker Exhibitor Relations.

Its global take is now more than $700 million.

The film has yet to open in China or Japan. It is only the fourth movie ever to make more than $100 million in its second weekend, joining “Star Wars:

The Force Awakens,” “Jurassic World” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” according to Disney, which owns Marvel Studios. Directed by Ryan Coogler,

“Black Panther” features an almost entirely black cast led by Chadwick Boseman as the first non-white superhero to get his own standalone movie in the franchise.

Dropping one place into third was “Peter Rabbit,” based on Beatrix Potter’s classic children’s book. Sony’s family-friendly offering brought in $12.5 million in its third week in theaters. Paramount’s new science fantasy horror “Annihilation” was off to a weak start, debuting in fourth place at only $11 million. Starring Natalie Portman, the film — based on the novel by Jeff VanderMeer — tells the story of a team of military scientists who go into a quarantined zone known as “The Shimmer.”

APC won’t exist in South-East beyond 2019 – PDP

APC won’t exist in South-East beyond 2019 – PDP

ENUGU – PEOPLES Democratic Party, PDP, has boasted that it will reclaim all elective positions in the South-East in the forthcoming 2019 general elections.

The opposition party spoke weekend in Enugu while inaugurating the PDP Youth Alliance, South-East zone.

They were inaugurated by the national coordinator, Dr. Charles Omini on behalf of the national leadership of the PDP.

Chinedu Nwamba, member representing Nsukka East Constituency in the Enugu State House of Assembly was inaugurated as the South-East coordinator of the PDP group.

Omini said right from 1999, the South-East had been a PDP zone, until few mistakes were made which led to the taking over of two States by other political party.

He, however, said with the abysmal performance of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s government, it would be an easy ride for PDP in 2019.

“Within the last three years, all has not been well with Nigeria; we ended up having a situation where we put a bad tyre in a new vehicle.

“We delivered our mandate to a party that has now unleashed killer Fulani herdsmen on all of us; a party that has taken the country 60 percent backward.

“They thrive in making the people of this country suffer and that is why as we speak, they have plan to even make a litre of fuel N300.

“This is a government that claimed it came to fight corruption but look at all the indices, including the report from the Transparency International. They have failed in all areas- economy, security, anti-corruption.

“So, with the mandate we have, and the capable hands we are inaugurating here today, the APC will not exist in the South-East beyond 2019. Let us consolidate on the campaign they have already done for us, which is over 80 percent”,

he said. In a remark, Nwamba vowed that it was a time for the PDP to take over its mandate in the entire South-East, stressing “they have even done the campaigns for us in those non PDP States; so we shall go there to mobilize our people, have structures in all the polling booths, and retake the areas.”

“The assurance we are giving the people of the South-East is that when PDP takes over the mantle of leadership at the national level, we are not going to disappoint them. “Having said this, I urge Biafra agitators to stop discouraging people from obtaining their permanent voters’ card. For now, Biafra has not come, so they should key into the policies of the Nigerian government. Let us go and collect our PVCs, that is the power we have.

“We all know that the South-East States have been forgotten and neglected by the federal government, that is part of the reason for the agitation, but we assure them that if they give the PDP the chance to come back to power, we will no longer hear about marginalization because PDP is not a sectional party, it is a national party, they are not sentimental”, Nwamba further stated.
